Yes, the current situation is a little bizarre.  The libavcodec
directory serves no purpose right now, it's just in the way when you
try to install FFmpeg libavcodec.  I believe we have 3 options:

- Remove the directory entirely.
  Easiest solution, people will still have to get libavcodec
  separately, but less confusion.

- Have a cronjob update libavcodec regularly.
  Does not sound bad, saves the installation troubles, will cost some
  bandwidth.

- Put the FFmpeg libavcodec CVS subdirectory into the MPlayer CVS
  tree.
  Saves bandwidth, is probably a gross hack.  No idea if this breaks
  the moment something about the FFmpeg CVS repository changes.

What shall we do?
