wow, thank you. Does that mean i appear in the "Authors"-section in the documentation, or is that not enought? (I know it is a very small patch, but I'd like to show off to some windows-users...)

Somebody said something about a socket system. Would that be like having a FIFO like /tmp/xscreensaver-lock that has to be opened and then the screensaver stops saving? Maybe I can propose that in the xscreensaver-mailinglist..
