[MPlayer-dev-eng] ATI chips classes?

Hello,

Can somebody please clarify (or give a pointer to) the similarities
and differences of ATI chips, especially wrt registers and such. I
have currently two cards from ATI, an ATI 3D Rage LT Pro and an Radeon
Mobility M6 LY.

Here is my very unqualified guess:
(found some info at the mplayer home page .../radeon/hacking)
