hmm, looks better :)

i've got an idea:
what about implementing an audio _plugin_ such way (using system timer),
it could help a lot for buggy drivers with bad buffering/getdelay/etc 
ioctls or network playback. and it could make old null driver to work :)

i had plans to make old-style OSS driver using system timers (for
that many users with broken oss drivers), but haven't started yet...
