mplayer -vo xvidix -brightness -500 filename.ext
mplayer -vo xvidix -contrast 300 -brightness 700 filename.ext
and so on.
any gamma related argument should be in rahnge -1000 +1000
Full list in cfg-mplayer.h (but matrox won't support other than pointed above).
