you're trying to get an cosmetic change into the cvs? it seems.
it has no sense, it only inrceases cvs log and additionally change API
so break some compatibility.
why do you expect we'll accept it? heh?

we sent ~10 mails about an 1000% useless nonsense thing... you really should
go and drink 10l or even more...

anyway, the value of 256 (==0x100) was selected by reason, as it's somehow
different thing as other flags, and i wanted to keep it far from them, and
reserve few bits for futher stuff, like your subpic flag.
