yes, it works for me fine, patch commited.
(i have a film in pim1 format waiting for mencoder for months :))

mpg12 sig11 here too, and from the first decoded frame it seems there is
some interlacing problem (codec thinks it's interlaced but it isn't) what
ffmpeg12 doesn't support :)
i'll ask on libmpeg12 list.
