[MPlayer-dev-eng] 'NEW LIRC init was successful.' but does not working

I am using the anonymous cvs and I saw a transition in input implementation 
for remote command thru lirc. 
Since the lirc_mp.c has the following exclusion
#if defined(HAVE_LIRC) && ! defined(HAVE_NEW_INPUT)
introduced instead of #if defined(HAVE_LIRC) ,
the lirc does not react to remote commands.

The latest version which is working with lirc is dating from Feb 17. Since 
then I tried 2 or 3 updates from cvs.
