out of curiosity, is there any situation in which disabling framedrop
is desirable? it seems like whenever framedrop is disabled, there's
always the possibility that you could lose a/v sync quite badly, even
on fast machines, if something unexpected stalls the process
momentarily.

granted you don't want to drop frames if you're using vo_png or
something of that nature, but wouldn't you disable audio then anyway?
i just can't seem to figure out what framedrop=0 is useful for...
