I've been studying the nasm docs for quite some time (trying to choose
which way to do asm optimizing). And as far as I can tell nasm is an
excellent way of implementing "portable" ia32 asm (and it follows the
intel syntax = my 2000 page manual is useful other than being an
excellent weight when you work out).
