[MPlayer-dev-eng] mencoder config file?

as far as i can tell, mencoder doesn't seem to support any sort of
config file for storing default preferences. would there be any
objections to my adding such a feature? it'd be particularly nice for
tv capture, which involves lots of options that should never change.

somehow i doubt it'd be a good idea to use the same config file as
mplayer, since e.g. many users may want sws=0 with mplayer but sws=2
for mencoder, etc. anyone have a preference on what the filename for
mencoder config should be?
