hi,

i was thinking about what the solution would be...

am i correct, if i assume that mplayer simply begins to play the first
video + the first audio track he finds?

as we know that for movs that jpeg track is simply a preview image for
the movie, a quick hack would be to simply ignore jpeg streams for movs
:)... but i don't even know if it's possible..

i think a better one would be the following:

the ability to prioritize certain codecs....

for example when opening a file, mplayer would collect all the playable
video streams, and then select the best from them.... the term 'best'
could be defind like : svq3 is better than jpeg etc...

as i have very little knowledge about mplayer's internal structure,
what do the developers think about this?
