[MPlayer-dev-eng] mplayer does not start with esd running

Hello,

This subject has been brought up to the gnome-list but nobody seemed
to pay attention. I don't know if the problem is with esd or with the
application(s). Other packages, like xine and vlc, share the same
problem. They refuse to start if esd is running, and esd is the
default for Gnome :-( Hoping for better luck here.
