Freetype can display Type1 fonts too. Actually, URW fonts from
ghostscript look much better (NimbusSanL-Bold vs. Arial Bold) and are
distributed under GPL. Maybe it would be nice to distribute one of them
together with mplayer (30k file probably won't hurt) or even embed it
with the OSD font in the binary as a default.
