I agree. I've successfully used the patches, but one thing I couldn't do
was to set the audio source to be the OSS driver since I have ALSA
installed (HAVE_ALSA9). The reason to want to use OSS drivers is that
linux kernel 2.4 has the btaudio module that takes the audio feed
straight from the TV card (bt878) instead of looping back through the
sound card.

I was thinking of adding a separate -tva argument, through which you
could choose a driver, device, bitrate, etc - but I got distracted by
other things.
