I would not use '-' in developer & description, if it ever needs being
parsed it will be easier... :)
Besides version xx is redundant with the patch version/description.

Something matching [0-9]{8}-*-*-*.patch :
  20011224-santa_claus-mplayer_x_mas-0.1.patch

My today's $0.02 :)
