[MPlayer-dev-eng] mencoder feature request

Hello!

When encoding from a dvd into divx and vbr mp3 with lame,
the audio samplerate is often 48000. However, some players
have trouble with this, and there is no way to change to
other sample rate, even though lame easily supports this. I
took a *very* short look at the code, of course the input
sample rate is defined by the input source, but output
audio should be selectable by the user, perhaps in another
-lameopts option. something like set_lame_out_samplerate ?

Also, even though there is q=X, can there be exclusive
options for min_br and max_br and/or avg_br (either q=X or
min/max/avg options) Also more documentation (man page) on
what q=X means

So:
support for different output audio samplerate
and
finer control of mp3 bitrate (even though it is largely
unpredictable for most people :-) , depending mostly on
source material)

Thank you for hard work on mplayer!
certron
