Hi,

just seen that libdvdread has 3 example programs too.
and they all are very interesting!!!
./play_title
Usage: lt-play_title <dvd path> <title number> <start chapter> <angle>
Title Number [1-X]: Movie Title on Disc.
Start Chapter [1-X]: Chapter to start at.
Angle Number [1-X]: Which angle to show.
This app outputs an MPEG2 system stream.
Make sure you redirect the output somewhere.
Example: lt-play_title /dev/dvd 1 1 1 | xine stdin://mpeg2
so with this you can play dvd piping with mplayer (but no seek)
we only have to hack this file into mplayer's stream.c to get perfect
dvd support :)))
can someone test if this really works? i mean plays right angle etc.
Another usefull stuff:
./title_info /dev/dvd
There are 2 titles.
Title 1:
In VTS: 1 [TTN 1]
Title has 4 chapters and 1 angles
Chapter 0 [PGC 1, PG 1] starts at Cell 0 [sector 0-efdf]
Chapter 1 [PGC 1, PG 2] starts at Cell 1 [sector efe0-1c1b7]
Chapter 2 [PGC 1, PG 3] starts at Cell 2 [sector 1c1b8-284ec]
Chapter 3 [PGC 1, PG 4] starts at Cell 3 [sector 284ed-35291]
Title 2:
In VTS: 2 [TTN 1]
Title has 12 chapters and 1 angles
Chapter 0 [PGC 1, PG 1] starts at Cell 0 [sector 0-1978a]
Chapter 1 [PGC 1, PG 2] starts at Cell 1 [sector 1978b-4ebe5]
Chapter 2 [PGC 1, PG 3] starts at Cell 2 [sector 4ebe6-62b04]
Chapter 3 [PGC 1, PG 4] starts at Cell 3 [sector 62b05-82609]
Chapter 4 [PGC 1, PG 5] starts at Cell 4 [sector 8260a-a6653]
Chapter 5 [PGC 1, PG 6] starts at Cell 5 [sector a6654-c2843]
Chapter 6 [PGC 1, PG 7] starts at Cell 6 [sector c2844-ea817]
Chapter 7 [PGC 1, PG 8] starts at Cell 7 [sector ea818-1117c1]
Chapter 8 [PGC 1, PG 9] starts at Cell 8 [sector 1117c2-14c279]
Chapter 9 [PGC 1, PG 10] starts at Cell 9 [sector 14c27a-180a76]
Chapter 10 [PGC 1, PG 11] starts at Cell 10 [sector 180a77-1cc62b]
Chapter 11 [PGC 1, PG 12] starts at Cell 11 [sector 1cc62c-1e7bcf]
So it's easy to check what is on a disk.
I wanna see how a multi-angle disk looks like...
The third util is another version of the ifo_dump.
