[MPlayer-cygwin] Help: MPlayer-mingw32-1.0pre7 cannot use windows codec library

I downloaded MPlayer-mingw32-1.0pre7.zip from
http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/win32/MPlayer-mingw32-1.0pre7.zip
 and unzipped it.
Then downloaded the windows codec library from
http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/essential-20050412.tar.bz2
and unzipped and copied to the codecs directory. But
when I play a rmvb movie, it always pop up a message
box:
The application or DLL
D:\MyProg\MPlayer-mingw32-1.0pre7\mplayer\codecs\drvc.so
is not a valid Windows image. Please check this
against your installation diskette.

How to solve this issue? My system is windows XP and
file system is NTFS.
