Yes the patch works but you need to define WAVE_FORMAT_DOLBY_AC3_SPDIF or mplayer wont compile

#define WAVE_FORMAT_DOLBY_AC3_SPDIF 0x0092

I've tested it with a sblive 5.1 on windows xp with standard windows drivers.
Btw, I've seen you have stopped the work on the windows gui, there is a hope to see
a gui on win32. Mplayer becoming a good alternative on win32, since directshow has often
problem with audio/video sync.
