Thanks a lot for the tip.
Up to now i have just tested the cmd-reactos.
Though it does not know how to scroll text, it already allows to
tab-complete of directories and filenames and has a full history of used
commands. And the best thing, output to this console does not(!) slow down
the system. So running mplayer without -quiet option makes no problems no
more. I would have never thought that i will actually ever use ReactOS
software.
Now lets see if i can get scrolling working!
Yes, it works perfectly, too. This is really great. Now i have to get MSYS
to use it, too (editing MSYS.BAT). Then compiling mplayer will take only a
fraction of the time it used to take.
Let me guess, ReactOS's notepad.exe will habe the keyboard shortcutts, too.
I always want to use ctrl+a and ctrl+c etc shourtcuts in notepad, but in the
one of Win98 these are not implemented.
This is really a hot tip for all Win98 users.
*grinnig broadly*
Stefan
