[MPlayer-cygwin] sub titles fail.

Hi All.

When I try to playback a file with subtitles I get the following error:

 > New_Face failed. Maybe the font path is wrong.
 > Please supply the text font file (~/.mplayer/subfont.ttf).
 > subtitle font: load_sub_face failed.

The "~/.mplayer/subfont.ttf" file is there!

Are sub-titles supposed to work for cygwin-mplayer?  Has anybody had 
similar problems and resolved these?
