[MPlayer-cygwin] [MINGW] Mplayer and the slave mode

Hi,
I would like to ask if it is the "normal way" to have to send data in a pipe connected to mplayer.
I launch mplayer with the -slave parameter and after 1 second it freezes. I have to keep the enter key pressed to make it running. Is there a way to make it running without pressing enter ? To make him just waiting for commands.
