I attached mplayer output.

Using an Athlon XP 1600, I have no problem to play DVD with mplayer
under linux, but its very slow on cygwin.
About /dev/scd : this is implemented in Cygwin. If I remember correct I
first saw it on the mplayer-cygwin list :).
$ ls -l /dev
ls: /dev: No such file or directory
Nom at snoop ~
$ file /dev/scd0
/dev/scd0: block special (17/16)
Nom at snoop ~
$ file /dev/scd9
/dev/scd9: block special (17/25)
