 IMHO the patch looks very bogus to me, there's really no reason why the 
cygwin cpp shouldn't support #if defined() syntax and the WIN32 define should 
be provided by mplayer like doing a -DWIN32 on compile cmdline, it's 
currently already defined in config.h when compiling for cygwin...

Is your cygwin enviroment maybe a bit broken?
