Btw.
SDL with --enable-static is working for me, both with 32 and 64 bit MinGW,
I didn't apply the patch because I didn't really understand it but hope
it is not needed anymore..

I guess they all have better alternatives, DOS can probably use either
vidix and/or vesa (though those will probably need fixes).
If someone cares that probably is the better approach.
