suggestions or fixes welcome.

someone put the vo.vdpau profile at the beginning of the example
config. this means that any options enabled (assuming the vo.vdpau
profile is uncommented) will only work when -vo vdpau is used. hence
the [default] profile being right underneath it, to start the regular
config profile.

basically if your config is this:
[vo.vdpau]
vc=ffh264vdpau

font=arial.ttf
fixed-vo=yes
vo=xv
framedrop=no

profiles are only terminated by another profile or eof.
