No, I haven't, though I could. I did not see anything in the non-verbose
output to indicate any difference, nor anything in the revision itself
which looked like it should affect console output, and I'm not positive
how competent I'd be to evaluate the output anyway... all of which
doesn't excuse the fact, it just attempts to explain it. ^_^

Given that '-fstype none' has now been observed to apparently fix the
problem, do you still want the verbose output? If so, is one -v enough,
or do you want more?
