Agreed. History in the documentation does not make sense, but it's nice to 
have on the website somewhere. I am the type of person that reads such 
pages from other projects as well. Stuff like: Wow, this project started in 
the mid-eighties. Or, hey, the first 1.0pre release was in 2003 ;-)
