Its not a lie, --std=gnu99 enables the linux define, that violates the
C standard. So the linux define is part of the gnu99 dialect. It may very
well be part of other dialects like gnu89 and the default in current gcc.
And certainly its quite likely to have been enabled by default considering
noone had a problem with compiling this code in the past but ...

I honestly did not exhaustivly test gcc --std options to see which enable
this illegal define. Listing the one i tested seemed as good as any.

Besides, if inflamatory commit messages bother you, you should probably
have complained about most of uotis commits. But then uoti is under your
protection so that of course wont happen.

And last but not least, your commit to ffmpeg fixing a C99 non compliancy
with a commit message about gnu99 was not any less inflamatory, still
noone complained. While you here and this mallicious brat attack me for
correcting a undisputed bug. Do you prefer if i and others do not fix
bugs in mplayer? You together with uoti seem to have been quite effective
in driving most people away already.
