well, not all simple solutions actually would work ...
more food -> exponential growth until food is insufficient again (this is
true for the uneducated masses in 3rd world countries i fear even if we
dont like it ...)
I think more education is a more effective long term solution. Together
with cheap and available means of birth control and such ...
More education would likely also stabilize the various countries politically
and economically ...
