Off the top of my head I don't have anything better than "DLL or
(old-style) DRV", which isn't particularly good - but it does indicate,
by parallelism with the .dll extension, that "drv" is a file extension,
and in any case people who will need to use such a file are likely to be
in a position to know what this is referring to simply by virtue of
knowing that they have a file with that extension.
In other words, no, not really. I'll probably spend some time thinking
about it while away from the computer, and maybe turn something up in a
day or two, but don't hold your breath.
(Do we even know of an example of a .drv file which would be appropriate
to be loaded by this option? The only ones I remember off the top of my
head from the old Win3.x days were keyboard, mouse and *maybe* text-mode
display drivers...)
