I'd welcome it myself, but I'm not sure what the other devs will say, so
I suggest that you raise the topic on dev-eng.

Turning it on is just a matter of adding one line to a config file.
However, we would have to decide what to do with imported libs, we
probably don't want the check there.

Also, we'd have to remove all the trailing whitespace in one big
cosmetic commit.
