Requested by Diego in a private mail. I think "GPL v2 or later" (and GPL
v3 or later, in a later stadium) is the right choice.

Using the "or later" clause simplifies upgrading to GPL v3 (and later
versions). If the FSF (or it's predecessor) ever creates GPL v8 with an
"all your code belongs to microsoft"-clause (or whatever), we can just
remove the or later clause and put all our updates under GPL v7 only
(after which the 'gpl v7 or later' code will become unmaintained and
thus not so useful anymore).

There will be no loophole around your neck, GPL v3 just closes some
holes in GPL v2. It's spirit (users should have freedom) is identical.
