I did change that part of the documentation I think... Well, the man page
I admit I didn't check anythign else :-(
The ultimate argument for doing it like this is because this is the only
way it works - without having to specify both number of input and output
channels...
The reason: we need the number of output channels to be able to setup
things correctly. On the other hand, when parsing the command line we do
not know how many input channels there will be. So how to group the
input in chunks of the size of number of input channels?
I am open to suggestions of course, but be aware that the old code did
not work at all for upmixing...
