I know very little about all this indexing stuff/NUT/etc. Just want to throw 
in my 2 cents from a user prospective - A common scenario for me is 
downloading an AVI file linearly from a server, obviously the stream is 
seekable, but because the index is at the end, I can't seek in the file 
unless I do -idx or wait until the whole file is completed...

Personally, I see this as the only fault of AVI, and I understand the 
implementation problems with this, but I'm just saying if anything is 
possible to make NUT be able to support this, it would be great. (Does it 
already?)
