Well, for me personally to use svn is unacceptable as it uses a 
database. Don't ask me why but databases always break when I try to use 
them :-( And I'm not going to risk that for my precious source code, but 
  as the MPlayer server is far enough away my bad influence on databases 
shouldn't reach it ;-)
Concerning arch I have to say that its overcomplicated usage makes it 
simply unusable currently, maybe later...
