Here happened a lot of misunderstandings.
So to keep the flames low, I'll start over again.
First thing, this commit should have never happened.
Bad thing, i didn't prevent it and so did nobody else.
IMHO there are 2 possible ways to go from here on.
But before I will explain the situation as most devs
didn't understand it completely as far as i can tell.
The situation is as the following:
Edouard Gomez forked two files of mplayer namely ve_xvid4.c and
vd_xvid4.c and he maintains them and updates them as he is a
XviD devel and is interested in having updated mplayer modules
for it.
So there are to possibilities:
I. Making the mplayer specific de/encoder files for XviD externally maintained.
--> reverting the commits and sync to external source
II: Go on with our own development of these file
--> reverting commits and wait until someone sends patches that get accepted
So all devels concerned with this please stand up.
