I don't know, I just "feel" it harder to read. Maybe because the driver names

Actually it's harder to do that, because you have to go to the beginning
of the table to find out which driver belongs to which column. It the old one
you had it right at the beginning of the line.

Yes, table about video cards is much much harder to maintain, while one
doesn't have to touch sound cards table at all. Sound drivers/cards don't
change as frequently as video cards.
