Perhaps, if it's appropriate. They're really only for people who know
exactly what they're doing... Sometimes it's desirable to render
subtitles prior to scaling or cropping in a filter chain, and the way
mencoder used to work, it always inserted an extra expand filter to
render subtitles at the end. This resulted in totally broken output.

A better fix to the problem should probably be applied eventually, but
for now a way to disable the extra expand filter is needed for
advanced mencoder usage. I'm not sure if it should be documented,
though.
