smb:// is not possible yet

if we're here... so this 'without the avifile library' is a bit misleading,
sugegsts that you can play even more using it :)
actually it should be (and was before you changed): (and you don't need the
avifile library for this program)

it was added as it's known that compiling avifile and even finding a working
version with compatible interface is a nightmare... and many other divx
players depend on it (imho all except xine and mplayer).
