yes
i found 1 file which was encoded with illegal vlc code combinations for ac 
coding (dunno about the encoder, but seems to be a M$ one as the file is a 
asf file with M4S2 fourcc) this needs the -1 value to be played, as the 
illegal stuff is treated as an error otherwise and most of the frame droped 

the difference between 0 & 1 is that 1 will do more checks which could be 
better or worse
