yea, this is for me 95% ;)

this is for you 95% ;)))

Btw. most times you donwscale video when encoding, so your fine of with 
bilinear scaling, bicubic only give visible advantage when upscaling.

how about introducing different ~/.mplayer/config for mencoder 
(mencoder.conf) and mplayer (mplayer.conf), then one could use different 
switches for both, or maybe ajust current config to contain section for 
common, mplayer and mencoder.
