I thought we came to a conclusion the last time this was discussed.
Mixed cosmetics and content changes are a nightmare for translators so
they should be avoided under all circumstances.

What's so bad about a patch that reformats paragraphs? The time you
spend reading it? Well, you do not have to. The wasted bandwidth and
the spam on -cvslog? If we save 10 seconds every time we edit the docs
because the source is easier to read then the benefit should outweigh
the costs. This really is not worth fighting over. If the indented
source helps Gabucino while editing the docs or makes editing more of a
pleasure, just let him have his way. Maybe it will make him more likely
to update the docs ;-)
I like the code indented and I must say that I have sometimes struggled
with the current mess that it is. Just look at most of the tables or
faq.html. It is really difficult to tell where a new row starts.
Difficult is relative of course, it takes seconds, but it should be
immediately clear at first glance!
