Probably - yes. It occurs since radeon_drv from X11 stuff doesn't update DOS-BIOS
fields about video mode which is activated by it.
(Driver works with ports and doesn't notifies BIOS about new video mode)
If it works on matrox therefore its drvers are more smarts or matrox knows it without
any hints.
