Why not fix libdvdnav instead to not include libdvdread?
I'm quite sure that other projects would profit from this
too.
And if upstream does not like the patch or does not react,
don't be afraid to fork libdvdnav. We can even make you
a seperate svn repo so that you can keep it outside of
MPlayer (like libav*)
