i know, but it depends on fileformat (deuxer) not the codec.
it's not easy to fix, and as teh demuxer layer will be rewritten soon i
don't care

that parameter en/disables osd rendering _by_the_expand_filter_.
of course some -vo drivers has own osd renderer code, it has nothing with
the expand filter.
