[Mplayer-advusers] screen dumps

i'm have trouble with the playback of mpg files. between clips i get a
split second of garbled nonsense. i've been able to reduce it to a
flicker and a delay by reloading the microcode before each play which
is now the problem.
any help would be appreciated.
