Confirmed. I used a short sample with the exact options you provided.
Second pass just hangs and uses 100% CPU of one core. Only by hitting
CTRL+C it exists. Still a complete file is produced. Tested also with
x264 as codec but get the same thing. Tested with PCM audio and lavc
-lavcopts acodec=ac3  and it does not appear so it seems something to
do with mp3lame specifically
