[MEncoder-users] Opening Local SDP files with mencoder

(For transcoding, this sounds impossible to me and if you 
would report this bug, it would be very welcome!)

The underlying libraries are not the same, if you install an old version of
live555 on your system and recompile MEncoder, it will use it.
